What is this thing they call a bomb? When the land lays peaceful and calm, It rips Earth and sunders the sky Leaving men to suffer and die. It comes along on wings of man Who else could pack Death in a can? Bigger, and better like all else Is there concern for Her health? Napalm, nukes, carpet, hydrogen All to destroy the works of men. What of nature when all is done? The forgotten casualty of man's petty fun.

Sitting here trapped within myself, Darkness my only company. Light slipped away like a nightmare, "Safety" is my soul litany. Fear is why I still reside here; Fear of unknown, fear of unseen. False or real, they remain unclear; A veil too awful to wipe clean. These fears I can not face today, Maybe I'll face them tomorrow. What is the hurry anyway? I've plenty of time for sorrow.
